Ghanaian winger Ernest Agyiri has completed a loan move to Estonian top-flight side FCI Levadia from Danish Superliga club Randers FC. The deal, finalized on transfer deadline day, will see the 26-year-old spend the remainder of the 2024-25 season with the Tallinn-based club.
Agyiri, who developed at the Right to Dream Academy and previously played for Manchester City U23, has struggled for consistent game time at Randers. After a loan spell at Danish 1st Division side Kolding IF in the first half of the season, he now returns to Levadia, where he previously played during the 2021-22 season.
The club expressed their excitement over his return, saying, “We are extremely pleased to announce that after more than a year and a half, former FCI Levadia player Ernest Agyiri is back in the squad!”
Agyiri himself shared his enthusiasm, stating, “It feels great to be back at Levadia! I chose to return on loan because I know both the players and the staff here. I’m looking forward to my fourth season at Levadia, as our goal this year is to win the league and go as far as possible in the European qualifiers.”
Levadia club owner Viktor Levada also welcomed Agyiri’s return, saying, “Welcome back home, Ernest! First of all, I would like to thank Randers FC for their professional cooperation. I am very happy that we managed to bring back such a valuable player! I wish both Ernest and the entire team the best of luck for the upcoming season.”
Agyiri, who is yet to earn a senior cap for Ghana, will be eager to make an immediate impact as Levadia aims for domestic and European success.
