Belgian Jupiler Pro League club Sporting Charleroi have confirmed the signing of Ghanaian forward Raymond Asante on a season-long loan from Serie A side Udinese.
The 20-year-old joins the Belgian club for the 2024/25 season, bringing his impressive goal-scoring record to the top-flight.
Asante’s arrival has been warmly welcomed by the Charleroi family, with the club’s statement expressing their excitement to have him on board. The Ghanaian forward has already made an impact in pre-season, scoring twice in four games for the Belgian side.
The talented young player has a strong pedigree, having led Udinese’s youth team to promotion to Primavera 1 with 21 goals and 12 assists across all competitions. During his time with Udinese’s Primavera, Asante amassed 23 goals and 13 assists in 53 appearances.
Asante will make his debut in top-flight football with Charleroi, and has been included in the squad for this weekend’s match against St. Truidense.
