Dutch Eredivisie powerhouse FC Twente has officially announced the loan signing of 23-year-old striker Myron Boadu from AS Monaco, marking a deadline day move.
Boadu joins FC Twente on loan until June 2024 due to limited playing time at AS Monaco, where he struggled to secure a regular starting position, scoring only one goal in ten appearances this season.
The loan move provides Boadu with an opportunity to contribute to FC Twente’s campaign and regain his form.
Born to Ghanaian parents in Amsterdam, Boadu remains eligible to represent Ghana in the future, despite having made his debut for the Netherlands in 2019.
The player expressed his excitement about returning to the Netherlands and joining a reputable club like FC Twente.
“I was really looking forward to being back in the Netherlands,” Myron Boadu told the club’s official website after sealing the move.
“I am happy that I now have the opportunity at a nice big club like FC Twente. FC Twente has a lot of quality in the team and hopefully great matches await us in the near future. We want to secure European football.”
“I already know some of the guys from the selection, I’m really looking forward to working with them”
Boadu, donning jersey no.21, aims to contribute to the team’s success and secure European football for FC Twente.
