Ghanaian rising star Clinton Dombila has been named in the IDBank Premier League Team of the Week for match-week three, following his impressive display in FC Ararat Yerevan’s match against FC Shirak Gyumri.
Despite FC Ararat Yerevan’s 1-2 loss to FC Shirak at the Republican Stadium on Saturday night, the 19-year-old Dombila was a standout performer. Starting the match and playing the full 90 minutes, Dombila showcased his defensive prowess and ability to drive the team forward, earning a 7.9 rating on Sofascore.
Dombila’s performance was so impactful that he was included in the league’s Team of the Week, alongside his teammates Rayane Mzoughi, who scored an 8.0 rating, and Kassim Hadji, who earned a 7.5 rating.
FC Ararat Yerevan, despite their recent defeat, remain at the top of the IDBank Premier League with 6 points. They are set to face West Armenia in their next fixture as they aim to maintain their position at the summit of the league.
