Ghanaian striker Prince-Osei Owusu has been named Player of the Month for April by CF Montréal following a series of impressive performances in Major League Soccer.
The 29-year-old forward enjoyed an outstanding month for the Canadian club, playing a decisive role in the team’s attacking displays throughout April.
Owusu recorded two goals and three assists in four league appearances, directly contributing to five goals during the period.
His performances have further highlighted his growing influence at the club since being appointed captain ahead of the 2026 MLS season.
The Ghanaian attacker has emerged as one of Montreal’s key performers this campaign and currently boasts 11 direct goal involvements in 11 league matches.
Owusu has scored six goals and provided five assists, underlining his consistency and effectiveness in the final third.
The former Germany youth international, who switched allegiance to Ghana, continues to strengthen his case for a regular role with the Ghana national football team after receiving his maiden Black Stars call-up for the Kirin Cup tournament in November 2025.
His strong form will come as encouraging news for Ghana’s technical team ahead of upcoming international assignments and preparations for the 2026 FIFA World Cup.
Owusu’s leadership and attacking contributions have been central to CF Montreal’s performances this season, with the club hoping their in-form captain can maintain his excellent run as the MLS campaign continues.
