Ghanaian teenager Jayden Addai has achieved a remarkable feat by becoming the second player in Jong AZ’s history to score nine or more goals in the first ten games of an Eerste Divisie season.

This impressive accomplishment draws parallels to the outstanding performance of Ferdy Druijf, who set a high standard with 11 goals during the 2018-19 season.

In the latest game, Addai continued to showcase his scoring prowess as he netted the consolation goal for Jong AZ in a hard-fought match against FC Emmen in the Dutch Eerste Divisie.

Despite Jong AZ losing 2-1 at the De Oude Meerdijk Stadium in Emmen after relinquishing an early lead, Addai’s goal marked his ninth in ten matches. He found the back of the net just ten minutes into the game, assisted by Mexx Meerdink.

With a total of ten goal involvements in ten appearances this season, including nine goals and one assist, Addai has firmly established himself as a rising star in the Dutch second-tier league. His consistent goal-scoring form reflects his growing impact on the team.
