Norwegian powerhouse, Molde FK, has successfully signed Ghanaian forward Jalal Abdullai from Swedish club IF Elfsborg on a loan deal with an option to buy, and the forward expressed excitement after joining the club.
The 20-year-old striker, who caught Molde’s attention during last season’s UEFA Europa League qualifiers, is eager to contribute to the team’s success.
“When my agent told me that I was being sent on loan to Molde, my first thought was: Wow! I was thrilled! When I faced Molde in the qualifiers, I thought they were great,” Abdullai expressed with excitement.
Abdullai began his European career with Elfsborg, after being signed from Inter Allies FC in Ghana. He has already made a mark in Sweden, notably scoring a winning goal against Halmstad in September 2023.
So far, the physically dominant striker has made 52 appearances for Elfsborg, netting 12 goals.
Describing his playing style, Abdullai emphasized his strength and speed, making him a formidable opponent for defenders.
“I’m not a dribbler, but I’m aggressive, fast, and strong. All defenders should know that it’s difficult to face me,” he confidently stated.
As he prepares to wear Molde’s number 9 jersey, Abdullai has set his sights on helping the team win the league while also contributing with crucial goals.
“Above all, I would like to help the team win the league. That is the most important thing right now. I’d like to score a few goals for the club. I am not a loser – I always want to win! That is the kind of person I am,” he declared.
