During Anderlecht’s UEFA Conference League match on Thursday, Ghanaian international Francis Amuzu experienced cramping.

Despite almost completing the entire game, the 23-year-old had to be substituted in the 87th minute during his team’s 1-0 win over Spanish side Villarreal to advance to the quarter-final stage.

The Belgian-born Ghanaian forward is expected to play for the Belgian giants when they face Lauven in the Jupiler Pro League.

The club assured fans that there were no injuries after the match, and that Amuzu and Yari Verschaeren suffered only from cramps.

“We have no injuries,” Brian Riemer could immediately reassure everyone after the game. Francis Amuzu and Yari Verschaeren mainly suffered from cramps. So without mishaps, Riemer can count on a full core next Sunday.

Amuzu has had a difficult season with injuries and will hope to make a swift recovery.
