Borussia Dortmund has officially announced the contract extension of German-born Ghanaian teenager, Hendry Aron Blank, until June 30, 2025.

Blank, who previously honed his skills in Bayer Leverkusen’s youth setup, joined Borussia Dortmund’s U16 team in the 2019/20 season. His impressive performances in the U19 Bundesliga West during the recently concluded campaign have earned him recognition.

Having featured in 15 league matches and 7 UEFA Youth League appearances, Blank made a significant impact. As a result, Borussia Dortmund has promoted him, along with his U19 teammate Marian Kirsch, to the club’s U23 squad.

Both players played crucial roles in Dortmund’s U19 Bundesliga West title victory this season. Blank’s commanding presence in defense contributed to the team’s success.

While Blank was born and raised in Germany to Ghanaian parents, he remains eligible to represent Ghana at the international level.

Although he has yet to receive a call-up from the German national team, the possibility of an international career with Ghana remains open for him.
