Ghana’s Ambassador to Cote D’ Ivoire, Frederick Daniel Laryea, extended his support to the Black Stars during a visit to their hotel on Thursday, January 11.
In addressing the team, he began by congratulating the players for securing qualification, recognizing their achievement in reaching the 34th edition of the tournament.
Ambassador Laryea, in an encouraging tone, urged the team to focus on playing well and conquering the other national teams to bring the coveted trophy home for Ghana. Expressing the significance of the visit, he stated, “It is a great honour for me to welcome you. Our presence here is to offer our support. We know that you are mentally and physically ready to win the cup. We are ready to give you all the support.”
He concluded with a heartfelt wish for success, saying, “I hope you perform well to conquer and win the 2023 AFCON. Good luck and be rest assured that the embassy, you have our full support. All the best,” affirming the unwavering support from the embassy to the Black Stars.
As the 2023 Africa Cup of Nations tournament is set to commence in Ivory Coast on Saturday, January 13, the ambassador’s visit serves as a motivational boost for the team.
Ghana’s first match in the competition will take place against Cape Verde on Sunday, January 14, marking the beginning of their quest for victory.
