Ghana’s attacker Emmanuel Boateng netted the winning goal for his team, Rio Ave as they beat Santa Clara in the Portuguese Premeira Liga.
The former Levante forward grabbed the only goal of the match to seal an important win for the home team who recorded their second win of the season in eight matches.
He powered home the winner from the center of the box into the bottom left corner with great composure in front of goal to make it 1-0.
His goal was all his team needed to see off their opponent and to take new boys out of the relegation zone with nine points from eight matches so far this season in the Liga Portugal.
The 26-year-old has two goals in five games since his return to the club and played 56 minutes in today’s game.
