Ghanaian teen Abdul Fatawu Issahaku made his UEFA Champions League bow against Olympic Marseille on Wednesday evening for Sporting CP.
The 18-year-old versatile forward came on just after 22 minutes of the match to make his first ever appearance in the UEFA Champions League competition.
His team were down to 10 men very early in the game and was subbed on to replace Hidemasa Morita to play as wing back for the Green and Whites outfit.
The host went 2-0 down to the away team inside the first 30 minutes of the match and were reduced to nine men in the second half of the match.
Sporting lost 2-0 and needs big result against Frankfurt and Tottenham to progress to the next round of the competition.
