Andre Morgan Ayew, the captain of the Black Stars, shared his thoughts on Le Havre’s commendable away display against RC Lens in the French Ligue 1 over the weekend.
Ayew, formerly of Marseille, played a pivotal role as his team secured a 1-1 draw against Lens at the Stade Bollaert-Delelis on Saturday.
The first half of the match ended in an intense goalless deadlock, with both sides struggling to break the deadlock.
After the interval, Lens took the lead through Przemyslaw Frankowski in the 58th minute before Emmanuel Sabbi equalized for Le Havre from the penalty spot in the 78th minute.
“Solid point away from home, thanks to the fans who made their presence felt in the stadium! We keep pushing forward. Focus on the next challenge,” Ayew expressed on Instagram.
Ayew played for 74 minutes before being replaced by Josué Casimir.
Since joining Le Havre as a free agent in November 2023, the Ghanaian international has become a key figure in the squad, registering four goals in 15 appearances across various competitions.
