Bibiani GoldStars and Aduana FC played out an entertaining goalless draw at Dun’s Park on Sunday as both sides were forced to settle for a point in their Ghana Premier League Matchweek 10 encounter.
The result extended GoldStars’ difficult start to the 2026/27 campaign, with the Miners once again struggling to convert their chances in the absence of prolific striker Kwame Opoku.
Despite enjoying a bright opening, the hosts were unable to make their dominance count. Razack Sanou came close to breaking the deadlock on two occasions in the first half, first seeing his effort blocked by Aduana’s disciplined defence before sending a header narrowly wide from a promising position.
Richard Kotey also threatened for the home side with a powerful long-range strike that drifted just off target, while Bernard Kesse thought he had found a route through on goal only to be flagged offside after being released by Michael Nkoah.
Aduana FC gradually grew into the contest and almost stunned the home supporters after the break. Mohammed Shawkan found the back of the net, but the celebrations were cut short when the assistant referee ruled the effort out for offside.
The Fire Club continued to press and came within inches of grabbing the winner moments later, only for GoldStars goalkeeper Emmanuel Kobi to produce a superb save to keep the scores level.
Both coaches introduced fresh legs in the closing stages in an attempt to find a decisive goal, but neither side could produce the clinical finishing required to separate the teams.
The stalemate sees Aduana FC maintain their place in the league’s top four, extending their solid start to the season with another valuable point on the road.
For Bibiani GoldStars, the draw does little to ease their concerns as they continue to battle near the bottom of the table after 10 matches. The Miners will be hoping to rediscover their goalscoring touch quickly if they are to climb away from the relegation battle in the coming weeks.
