Nsoatreman FC and Medeama SC played to a thrilling 1-1 draw in their rescheduled Ghana Premier League Week 15 clash on Wednesday afternoon at the Nana Konamansah Park in Nsuatre.
The match, originally postponed due to Medeama’s players representing the Black Galaxies, showcased exciting football as both teams battled for maximum points.
Medeama struck first in the 11th minute, capitalizing on a goalkeeping error to take the lead through Kingsley Braye’s close-range finish. However, Nsoatreman responded almost immediately, with defender Mohammed Issaka equalizing in the 13th minute to restore parity.
Despite dominating possession with 62% of the ball, Nsoatreman struggled to make their advantage count. The hosts attempted 10 shots, three of which were on target, while Medeama managed five attempts, hitting the target twice.
The second half saw both sides pushing for a winner, with Nsoatreman creating more chances and winning four corners to Medeama’s two. However, resolute defending and an impressive performance from Medeama’s goalkeeper, Ibrahim Danlad, ensured the scoreline remained unchanged.
The draw leaves Medeama in 7th place on the league table with 26 points, while Nsoatreman sit 15th with 15 points. Medeama will next face Berekum Chelsea on January 19, while Nsoatreman prepare to host Karela United in their upcoming fixture.
