After a brilliant start to the 2022/23 betPawa Ghana Premier League, Accra Lions were tipped by many to give league leaders, Aduana FC, a run for their money.
However, the Accra-based side have been far from that expectation in the last eight games they have played in the topflight. They have only won once during that period and seem to be struggling at the moment.
However, there is an opportunity to always turn the season around and the game against Berekum Chelsea on Sunday gives them an opportunity to get back on track.
Despite losing Mezack Afriyie, Chelsea still seem to be a better side without their top scorer who is in search for greener pastures in Europe.
Languishing in sixth place, the Blues could overtake Asante Kotoko and Hearts of Oka and occupy the fourth spot should they win their game against Lions and both Kotoko and Hearts lose.
The earlier meeting between the two sides saw Lions secure a 2-1 win at the Accra Sports Stadium back in January.
