Israeli Premier League side Hapoel Tel Aviv have reportedly expressed interest in signing Ghanaian winger Douglas Owusu from Serbian champions Red Star Belgrade during the ongoing transfer window.
The 20-year-old attacker only joined Red Star in January 2026 in a reported €2.2 million transfer, but could be on the move again as he searches for more regular first-team opportunities.
No agreement has been reached between the two clubs, with negotiations still at an early stage as Hapoel assess the possibility of bringing the Ghanaian forward to Israel.
Owusu arrived in Serbia after making a strong impression in European football and was part of the Red Star squad that secured a domestic double during the 2025/26 season, winning both the Serbian SuperLiga title and the Serbian Cup.
However, despite being part of the successful squad, the winger has yet to make a competitive appearance for Red Star in the current campaign, increasing speculation over a possible loan or permanent move away.
Hapoel Tel Aviv view Owusu as a potential attacking addition, with his pace, creativity and ability to operate on the wing fitting their plans to strengthen the squad.
The Ghanaian remains highly regarded by Red Star, but a move could be considered if it provides him with the regular playing time needed to continue his development.
