Hohoe United head coach Abdul Rahim Tijani has commended his players for their determination and discipline after securing a hard-fought 1-0 victory over Asante Kotoko in their Ghana Premier League Week 13 clash on Sunday.
Playing at the Hohoe Sports Stadium, the hosts claimed all three points thanks to a superbly executed free-kick from William Oduro, whose strike proved to be the decisive moment of the game.
Reflecting on the win, Coach Tijani expressed immense satisfaction with his team’s effort, noting that their preparation and commitment were key to the result.
“First, we have to congratulate the boys. They did so well. All I want to say is hard work pays. We really worked for this. We watched the previous games they played, and I told my boys we should go all out because that can let us survive or achieve our target. The game plan worked so well for us,” he said.
The impressive victory lifts Hohoe United to eighth place on the league table as they continue to build momentum in their debut season.
Next up, Hohoe United will face Berekum Chelsea in their Week 14 encounter, where they will look to extend their strong run of form.
