King Faisal forward Zubairu Ibrahim was adjudged Man of the Match following an explosive performance in his side’s deserved victory over Asante Kotoko.
An unstoppable Zubairu Ibrahim scored a stupendous hat-trick to make hand Kotoko their first defeat in the 2021-22 Ghana Premier League season after six matches.
Both teams started very well but it was the visitors who struck first through Zubairu after just four minutes showing on the clock.
The youngster scored again on the 18th-minute mark with a brilliant finish to make it 2-0 to the away team before the end of the first half.
Two minutes after the break, Cameroonian import, Mfugue Omgba scored a consolation goal to bring the Red and Whites outfit into the game.
Kotoko piled pressure on their opponents searching for the equalizer but failed to take their chances.
Zubairu Ibrahim scored at the other end of the field after a swift counter attack by King Faisal to bag his hat-trick to make it 3-1.
Few minutes later, Mfegue scored with a beautiful header to reduce the deficit to one again with over 15 minutes to play.
Both teams had chances to score but none was able to do so as King Faisal FC beat Kotoko 3-2 on the day to break their unbeaten streak in the 2021-22 Ghana Premier League season on week six.
