Ghana Premier League defender Ebenezer Abban has completed a move to Brunei-based side Duli Pengiran Muda Mahkota FC (DPMM FC) after joining the club as a free agent.
The defender departs Heart of Lions following the expiration of his contract, bringing an end to his spell with the Ghana Premier League outfit and opening a new chapter in his career overseas.
Abban joins DPMM FC without a transfer fee after becoming available on a free transfer, with the club moving quickly to secure his services ahead of the new season.
The Ghanaian centre-back’s experience in the domestic league is expected to provide added quality and stability to DPMM FC’s defensive unit as the club prepares for its upcoming campaign in the Malaysia Super League.
During his time in Ghana, Abban established himself as a dependable defender, earning recognition for his strength, discipline and ability to compete at the highest level of local football.
His move to Southeast Asia represents another opportunity for a Ghanaian player to expand his career abroad, with the defender now set to adapt to a new footballing culture and environment.
DPMM FC will be hoping Abban’s Ghana Premier League experience can help strengthen their backline and contribute to the club’s ambitions in the coming season.
The defender is expected to begin preparations with his new teammates as he focuses on making a strong impression in his first overseas adventure.
