There is heightened interest from Asante Kotoko and Hearts of Oak as Augustine Okrah has reportedly reached a decision regarding his future with Simba SC.
According to African football journalist Micky Junior, Okrah and Simba SC have agreed to part ways at the end of the season, putting both Asante Kotoko and Hearts of Oak on red alert.
Okrah joined Simba SC from Bechem United during the previous summer transfer window, signing a two-year contract with the Tanzanian club.
In a preseason friendly against Ismaily SC, the Ghanaian forward showcased his scoring prowess by finding the back of the net, marking his first goal for Simba FC in a 1-1 draw.
Okrah’s standout performances date back to his debut season with Bechem United in the 2013/14 league campaign, where he recorded an impressive tally of 16 goals. Not only did he become the league’s top scorer, but he also received the prestigious Player of the Season award.
Following his stint at Bechem United, Okrah embarked on loan spells at Swedish club BK Hacken before joining Sudanese powerhouse Al Merreikh. After a season, he made a switch to their rivals, Al Hilal Omdurman.
Throughout his career, Okrah has also had notable spells with NorthEast United in India and Smouha SC in Egypt.
