Former Ghana star Dan Quaye is hoping for the inclusion of Mubarak Wakaso into the senior national team of Ghana for the sake of Inaki Williams.
The former Accra Hearts of Oak SC player says the midfielder is the one who can help the Athletic Bilbao FC attacker to get the goals for the Black Stars.
According to him, the midfielder would send long passes to the striker which would help him end his goal drought since his debut in September 2022 before the 2022 FIFA World Cup tournament in Qatar for Ghana.
He believes if Wakaso is added to the Black Stars he can help Inaki Williams to resolve goalscoring woes with his decisive long balls.
“It’s about time we reinstate some of the experienced players in the Black Stars. Inaki Williams has struggled to score for the national team since switching allegiance because of our midfielders”
“I believe Mubarak Wakaso, who is able to deliver long balls to attackers can help him resolve goalscoring woes with the Black Stars.”
“Wakaso always make sure he feeds strikers with the balls and he has the experience too for the long balls just like Sulley Muntari. We are the Brazil of Africa and we must respect that” he said.
