Hearts of Oak management recently held discussions with their experienced and dependable defender, Caleb Amankwah, and his representative to discuss extending his contract with the club.
Amankwah’s current contract is set to expire sometime between June and July.
The 25-year-old has been one of the best-performing players on the team, even scoring crucial goals for the club. Following the discussions, the Board Executive Chairman, Togbe Afede XIV, has made calls for Amankwah’s contract to be extended.
Amankwah and his representatives have agreed to a two-year contract extension with the management of Accra Hearts of Oak. As a result, the club is expected to finalize and sign the contract with Amankwah in the upcoming days.
The lanky defender joined Hearts of Oak in 2021 on a three-year deal after ending his stint with Aduana Stars.
