How Esperance fans scared Hearts of Oak player’s from doing warm-up in a CAF Confederations Cup game

National Chapter’s Committee Public Relations Officer of Accra Hearts of Oak, Kobby Jones has narrated how the hostile atmosphere of playing against the North Africans Club can affect the mentality of clubs.

Kobby Jones threw caution to Medeama and Dreams FC about their chances in their respective continental assignment this weekend.

Hearts Of Oak engaged Esperance of Tunis in a crucial CAF Confederation’s Cup match in Tunis which ended in a disgraceful score for the Phobians in 2015. The game ended 4-0 in favor of the home teams, but according to the NCC PRO, one of the highlights of the game happened when it was time for Accra Hearts of Oak to come out of the tunnel for their warm-up.

“Some of our players when it is our turn for warm up when they got to the field they quickly pulled back to the tunnel, the venue is very hostile. Sabahn Quaye who was the team manager had to force the players out of the tunnel for them to do their warmup “the Public Relations officer said on the ultimate morning sports show on Asempa Fm

Experienced players like Gilbert Fiamenyo, Philip Boampong and goalkeeper Souleman Abdoulaye all succumbed to the hostile atmosphere under the tutelage of the late Herbert Addo in that painful defeat.
