Ghana’s game against Angola on Thursday, 23 March 2023 evening may see Southampton’s Mohammed Salisu missing out due to injury, according to Chris Hughton who spoke to the press on Wednesday, March 22, 2023.

The match will take place at the Baba Yara Stadium for the first leg of the 2023 Africa Cup of Nations doubleheader, with a 4pm kick-off time.

Hughton has a full squad with the arrival of Abdul Salis Samed, who was delayed at the French Airport on Wednesday.

Hughton declined to comment on his starting lineup, but Sportsworldghana has put together a probable lineup for the Black Stars in a 4-2-3-1 formation.

The defense is likely to be Daniel Amartey and Alexander Djiku in the central defensive roles, with Dennis Odoi and Gideon Mensah as left-back and right-back, respectively.

The midfield duo of Abdul Salis Samed and Thomas Partey could be joined by Jordan Ayew, Mohammed Kudus, and Joseph Paintsil in the attacking roles, with Inaki Williams starting as striker.

How Ghana could line up:

Jojo Wollacott, Dennis Odoi, Gideon Mensah, Daniel Amartey, Alexander Djiku, Abdul Salis, Thomas Partey, Joseph Paintsil, Jordan Ayew, Mohammed Kudus, Inaki Williams
