Ghana striker Brandon Thomas-Asante is on the verge of being announced as a new signing for Coventry City after successfully passing his medical.
Thomas-Asante is making the switch from West Brom to Coventry ahead of the upcoming season.
Since joining West Brom in 2022, he has established himself as a key player, which prompted Coventry to pursue his signature.

The final details are being finalised before the official announcement.
Last season, Thomas-Asante impressed with the Baggies, scoring 11 goals and providing 2 assists in the Championship.
His performances attracted interest from several clubs, including Hull City.
It is believed that former Ghana assistant coach George Boateng, recently appointed as first team coach at Coventry City, played a significant role in Thomas-Asante’s decision to join the Sky Blues.
During Boateng’s tenure as assistant coach of Ghana, the 25-year-old striker received his debut call-up for the Black Stars ahead of the 2023 AFCON, although he didn’t make the final squad.
Thomas-Asante had the chance to debut for the four-time AFCON champions in June against Central African Republic in the 2026 World Cup qualifier.
Coventry City finished 9th in the Championship last season, nine points short of a play-off spot, and reached the FA Cup semi-finals.
The club hopes that Thomas-Asante’s addition will boost their campaign for a potential Premier League return next season.
