Asamoah Gyan believes that there is still potential for improvement in the Ghana Premier League.
With the 2022/23 Ghana football season coming to a close this weekend, there have been concerns about low attendance and questions regarding the overall quality of the top flight as raised by football fans.
However, Gyan, the former captain of the Black Stars, remains optimistic and believes that the league can still progress despite the lack of patronage.
In an interview with Asempa FM, he stated, “I observe the Ghana Premier League from a distance because I’m not familiar with most of the players. There is quality in the Ghana Premier League, but I think there is still room for improvement.”
In the final round of matches, Medeama SC will host Tamale City, while defending champions Asante Kotoko will welcome Dreams FC.
Hearts of Oak will travel to face Berekum Chelsea, and Aduana Stars will host Bechem United. The games will continue to take place at various venues.
