Ghana forward Jordan Ayew has expressed confidence in his own abilities and those of his teammates after helping Leicester City secure a 1-1 draw against Ipswich Town in the Premier League on Saturday.
The 32-year-old Black Stars attacker came off the bench to score in stoppage time, salvaging a point for Steve Cooper’s side and ending a streak of two consecutive defeats against Manchester United and Nottingham Forest.
Ayew had also scored a crucial stoppage-time winner against Southampton following the September international break, showcasing his knack for timely goals.
“I guess in those eight minutes of added time, I thought we would get another chance; it fell on me, and I’m pleased to have taken it,” Ayew said.
“I’m always a positive person; I always maintain a positive mindset. I believe so much in myself and in the team as well.”
Since joining Leicester City in the summer, Jordan Ayew has netted three goals in 12 appearances across all competitions, further establishing himself as a vital asset to the team.
