Ghanaian teenager, Jahmael Ampofo, has signed his first professional contract with AZ Alkmaar and is already looking to make a bigger impact on the pitch.
The 15-year-old winger, who played his first season with the club last year, has set his sights on scoring more goals and providing more assists in the upcoming season.
“I want to score more goals and give more assists than last season,” Ampofo said in an interview. “I want to be important for my team every game. Furthermore, I want to end up at AZ1 as soon as possible. The path that Jayden Addai has taken is a good example of a path that I would also like to take,” he told the club’s media.
Ampofo’s impressive performance last season earned him a spot in the AZ Under 15 selection and he was even named player of the tournament during the U15 Kolping International Cup.
With his new contract, he is now looking to take his game to the next level and become a key player for the club.
