His Royal Majesty Otumfuo Osei Tutu II, the owner of Asante Kotoko, has delivered a stern message to the team, emphasizing that recent poor performances are unacceptable.
During a meeting with the team at Manyhia on Thursday, April 18, Otumfuo expressed his dissatisfaction with the club’s current situation, warning that he would not hesitate to dissolve the team if their form leads them to relegation.
“I will personally call the GFA to dissolve Kotoko before you take the club to relegation,” Otumfuo Osei Tutu II declared.
His statement follows Asante Kotoko’s disappointing run of form, which has seen them lose six games and draw just one in their last seven matches. This downturn has left the club precariously positioned, just three points above the relegation zone.
With a crucial Week 27 encounter against Samartex FC looming this weekend at the Baba Yara Sports Stadium, Otumfuo has charged the team to secure victory and reverse their fortunes. The match is scheduled to kick off at 3 pm.
