Asante Kotoko midfielder Justice Blay has expressed his heartfelt appreciation to the club for extending his contract by one more year.
The extension was officially announced on Thursday, January 2, 2025, ensuring the 32-year-old remains with the Porcupine Warriors for another season as one of their most influential players.
In his first comments following the announcement, Blay referred to Asante Kotoko as his “home,” highlighting the strong bond he shares with both the club and its supporters.
“Kotoko is my home,” Blay stated. “I’m grateful for the trust the club has shown in me and the incredible support from the fans. I’m ready to continue giving my all for this badge.”
Blay joined Kotoko on loan from Medeama SC in the 2019/2020 season, where he quickly made an impact, scoring two goals in 12 appearances. His stellar performances led to a permanent move in the 2021/2022 season, and since then, he has become a cornerstone of Kotoko’s midfield, making 56 league appearances.
This season, Blay has played in 12 of the 15 Ghana Premier League matches, netting one goal while continuing to demonstrate leadership and consistency that endears him to both teammates and fans alike.
