AshGold Sporting Club midfielder Amos Addai has stated emphatically that he’s not joining Coach CK Akonnor at Kotoko.
Reports in the Ghanaian media on Thursday suggested that the youngster’s contracting with the miners is running out and that he will surely make a move to Kotoko.
But speaking to sportsnewsgh, the difficult to handle winger said, ”I have received official call from my former coach to work with him at his new club but for now I am an AshGold player,”
”I signed a three year contract extension with the Yellow and black family last month after my two years contract expired at the club,”
He added ‘They (Kotoko) can make an official approach to the management of my team since I have an official contract with them and can’t go any extra mile in terms of dealing with Kotoko,”
Amos earned promotion from the youth team to join the senior side of Ashgold SC under then head coach Bashir Hayford.
The former Black Stars B player has been an integral member of the Obuasi based club AshGold since his first season in the Ghana Premier League.
The development of the player has been brilliant as he has added goalscoring to his dribbling, pace and skills to his game for the miners in the Ghana Premier League.
Meanwhile, Ashgold defender Richard Osei Agyemang in a recent interview indicated that he wouldn’t hesitate to join his former boss CK Akonnor should he express interest in him for a reunion at Kotoko.
