Fatawu Issahaku reacts to Leicester City Men’s Young Player of the Season award

Ghanaian football sensation, Abdul Fatawu Issahaku, expressed his delight after being crowned Leicester City’s Young Player of the Season during the club’s recent awards ceremony at the King Power Stadium.

On loan from Sporting Lisbon, Issahaku showcased his exceptional talent as a winger, leaving a lasting impression on fans throughout the 2023/24 season.

Contributing significantly to Leicester City’s championship-winning campaign, Issahaku netted seven goals and provided 13 assists, earning praise for his stellar performances on the pitch.

Expressing his gratitude, Issahaku stated, “It was an honour and privilege to receive this amazing award. I want to thank all my teammates and management for their support and encouragement throughout the season, and all the Foxes. I am so grateful to everyone who has always been part of my journey. Thank you LCFC,” in a heartfelt message shared on Instagram.

Following his remarkable displays, Leicester City intends to exercise their buy option, estimated at £17 million ($18.9 million), to secure Issahaku’s services permanently, highlighting the club’s confidence in his talent and potential.
