Heart of Lions head coach Bashiru Hayford has dismissed any surprise over his team’s impressive form that has seen them rise to the top of the Ghana Premier League standings.
Currently leading the league with 24 points after a crucial win against FC Samartex last weekend, Hayford, who was recently named the league’s Coach of the Month for November, emphasized that achieving success is simply part of his role as a coach.
“As a coach, it is my job to win and deliver results. So I don’t understand why people are surprised that my team is at the top of the league. That’s what I’m here to do,” Hayford remarked during an appearance on Asempa FM’s Sportsnite.
Under Hayford’s guidance, Heart of Lions have been in excellent form, consistently securing key victories and positioning themselves as serious contenders for the league title.
Looking ahead, the Kpando-based side will face Basake Holy Stars in their next match as they aim to maintain their momentum at the top.
