Hearts of Oak coach, David Ocloo, expressed his frustration with his team’s goal-scoring challenges following their recent match.
Playing away against Legon Cities at the El Wak Stadium on Sunday, May 28, 2023, Hearts of Oak aimed to bounce back after suffering a 5-1 defeat to Medeama in their previous outing.
Unfortunately, Hearts of Oak fell behind in stoppage time of the first half, conceding a goal from Kofi Kordzi. Despite their efforts, the Phobians were unable to find an equalizer in the second half, resulting in their third consecutive defeat.
Ocloo voiced his confusion about the team’s inability to convert scoring opportunities into goals. He expressed his disappointment to StarTimes, stating, “I don’t understand because in training, we see them finishing chances like these. Even difficult chances are converted, but during the game, these begging chances go abegging. It’s unfortunate.”
Currently occupying 8th position in the league standings with 45 points, Hearts of Oak will be looking to improve their goal-scoring fortunes as they prepare to host RTU in their next match.
