Asante Kotoko’s forward, Steven Mukwala, has announced his return to form after a brief spell of scoring drought.

The Ugandan striker, who dazzled in the first half of the ongoing 2023/24 Ghana Premier League season, experienced difficulties finding the net in the latter part of the campaign.

However, he bounced back in style during Kotoko’s recent 2-0 victory over Legon Cities in Matchday 29, netting a crucial goal.

With eight goals in 17 appearances for the Porcupine Warriors, Mukwala credited his resurgence to regained confidence.

“Yes, I’ve probably gotten back my confidence,” he affirmed. “Scoring in each game gives confidence as a striker, so I thank the team because it’s really a teamwork.”

Asante Kotoko, currently occupying the 10th spot on the league table with 40 points, is set to face Berekum Chelsea in the upcoming Matchday 30 fixture at the Golden City Park this weekend.
