Ghanaian defender Jonathan Mensah scored full marks in Columbus Crew SC win over Vancouver WHITECAPS FC in the 2022 Major League Soccer season opener in America.
The captain led by example as he remained a rock at the back for the Yellow and Blacks who kept their first cleen sheet in their first outing.
Mensah gave 66 accurate passes out of attempted 69 scoring 96 percent passing success with some sleek buildup play from the back with commanding display.
The 31-year-old center-back gave two long balls accutaretely with his three attempts and made four clearances with one black and also provided two headed clearances, one interception, two recoveries and got dribbled past just once.
Mensah played full throttle for his team as they brush aside their opponents 4-0 at the end of the game to go top of the league table on opening day.
Meanwhile, newly signed Ghanaian international Yaw Yeboah also gave an assist in Columbus Crew SC 4-0 win.
