The twenty-two year old was an unused substitute in Southampton’s win over Leeds United which confirmed their return to the Premier League.

The Saints suffered relegation last season and have immediately bounced back to the top of English Football.

At Wembley Stadium in London, Southampton narrowly defeated Leeds United 1-0 in one of the most popular lower-division playoffs in world football.

Adam Armstrong latched onto William Smallbone’s exquisite pass in the 24th minute to put the Saints in front. The 27-year-old kept his composure inside the eighteen-yard box and buried the ball into the left bottom corner to leave French goalkeeper Illan Meslier with no chance.

The early strike decided the game as many chances were created by both sides but none was able to find the back of the net.

Kamaldeen Sulemana has been on the bench for Southampton in their last three games as the youngster has momentarily lost his place in Russel Martins’ first IX but he remains in the plans of the Saints.
