Kwame Opoku has joined Bibiani GoldStars following his departure from Asante Kotoko, bringing an end to his second spell with the Kumasi-based club.
The experienced forward had been linked with a move away from Kotoko after the club indicated that he was not guaranteed a place in its plans for the 2026/27 season.
Opoku now begins a new chapter with Bibiani GoldStars as the club strengthens its attacking options ahead of the new Ghana Premier League campaign.
The striker previously enjoyed a productive spell with Asante Kotoko and also had stints with USM Alger in Algeria and Olympique Khouribga in Morocco before returning to the Porcupine Warriors.
His return to Kotoko in 2025 produced four goals in 16 appearances during the 2025/26 campaign, despite injury setbacks.
GoldStars will be hoping the forward’s experience and goal-scoring ability can add further strength to their attack as they prepare for another competitive season in the Ghana Premier League.
