English Championship side Leeds United are interested in a deal to sign Ghanaian international Joseph Paintsil, from KRC Genk.
Sky Sports report that Genk would consider offers in the region of €10million (£8.5m) as Daniel Farke desperately looks to bolster his ranks in attack.
Leeds are in need of fresh impetus in attack after seeing the likes of Rodrigo Moreno depart since their relegation from the Premier League, while club veteran Patrick Bamford continues to struggle with injury issues, and the jury still being out on Georginio Rutter.
A ‘devastating’ right-winger, Paintsil scored 18 goals and set up 14 more during an outstanding campaign at Genk in 2022/23; taking on the role of talisman following Onuachu’s exit.
Meanwhile, Italian Serie A side Fiorentina FC, are also interested in signing the former Tema Youth SC star.
So far this season, the Black Stars forward has delivered two assists in four games for Genk.
