Ghana Premier League side Legon Cities have parted ways with veteran coach Paa Kwesi Fabin following a string of poor performances this season. An official announcement confirming his exit is expected soon.
Fabin, who was appointed in 2023 on a two-year deal, successfully guided the team to safety last season, helping them avoid relegation. However, the current campaign has been far less successful, with the club languishing at the bottom of the table after securing just three wins so far.
Reports suggest that Fabin’s motivation to continue with the team has waned, and he is preparing to return to his base in Kumasi. Sources close to the coach indicate that the team’s dismal form was a significant factor in his departure.
Legon Cities will now look to regroup and find a replacement as they battle to turn their fortunes around in the ongoing league season.
