Turkish Süper Lig side Gaziantep FK have officially announced the signing of Ghanaian striker Emmanuel Boateng in the ongoing winter transfer window.
The 28-year-old forward has inked a one-and-a-half-year deal with the club, keeping him at the Gaziantep Stadium until the summer of 2026. The move was confirmed after Boateng successfully passed a medical examination earlier today in Turkey.
A statement from the club reads:
“Our Gaziantep Football Club has reached a 1.5-year agreement with Ghana National Team forward Emmanuel Boateng.
Our new transfer Emmanuel Boateng signed the official contract at the signing ceremony attended by our Club President, Memik Yılmaz. We welcome Emmanuel Boateng to our club and wish him great success under our crest.”
Boateng, who joins Gaziantep on a free transfer, previously played for Saudi Pro League side Al-Orobah. During the 2024/25 season, he featured in 13 matches, registering two goals and two assists.
The former Levante forward brings experience and proven attacking quality to the Turkish side. He has also represented Ghana’s Black Stars, earning seven international caps and scoring once.
Gaziantep FK will hope Boateng’s arrival boosts their attacking options as they aim to improve their standing in the Süper Lig.
