Leicester City manager Ruud van Nistelrooy has expressed his delight over the return of Ghanaian striker Jordan Ayew from suspension, calling it a significant boost for the team.
Speaking to the media on Thursday, January 2, van Nistelrooy highlighted Ayew’s importance to the squad, especially with key fixtures on the horizon.
“We’re looking to have Jordan Ayew back following suspension, which will help us,” he said.
The manager also provided an update on another player, Wout Faes, saying, “Wout Faes has been training individually but joins back up with the squad today, so we’re hoping to have him as an option again soon.”
Jordan Ayew’s return comes just in time for Leicester City’s crucial English Premier League match against Aston Villa on Saturday, January 4. The Black Stars striker missed the previous game against Manchester City after serving a one-game suspension for accumulating yellow cards.
Ayew’s presence is expected to strengthen Leicester City’s attack as they aim to secure a favorable result in their upcoming clash.
