The Senior National team of Sierra Leone, Leone Stars have been spotted training on a grassless pitch as they prepare to take on AFCON host in a friendly match.
The Leone Stars who failed to qualify for Africa’s most prestigious football tournament in Ivory Coast will use the game as a test game for their World Cup qualifier which will resume later in March. 2015 AFCON Champions, Ivory Coast will use the game as test case before kicking off the tournament with their opening game against Guinea- Bissau on the 13th of January at the Olympic Stadium in Ebimpe.
The last meeting between the two sides came in 2021 in The African Cup of nation In Camerron in 2021 where the Leone Stars held the Elephants to a 2-2 all drawn game.
