Aduana Football Club bounced back to winning form by defeating champions Medeama SC at the Nana Agyemang Badu Park on Sunday.
The two-time Ghana Premier League champions had a disappointing start to the 2023/24 season, suffering a narrow defeat to Samartex at the Nana Koramansah Park.
However, in today’s spirited performance, the Ogya Boys secured a 2-0 victory over the Yellow and Mauves, thanks to Bright Adjei’s brace.
Despite both teams creating scoring opportunities, the first half ended in a pulsating goalless draw.
After halftime, Aduana FC elevated their performance and managed to score twice against Medeama on their home turf.
Bright Adjei, currently on loan from Tanzanian club Singida Big Stars, showcased his scoring prowess by opening the scoring for the hosts in the 53rd minute. He then completed his double ten minutes before full time.
Aduana FC now occupies the third position on the league standings after two games, accumulating three points, while Medeama finds themselves at the bottom with just a single point.
