Berekum Chelsea made the most of their home superiority by thumping Accra Lions on matchday 30 of the betPawa Ghana Premier League.
The Blues defeated Accra Lions 4-0 at Golden City Park on Sunday afternoon to move up to fourth place in the league table.
Despite creating scoring chances, neither team could reach the back of the net in the first half.
After the intermission, Stephen Amankona scored from the penalty spot in the 47th minute to break the tie.
Christopher Ennin’s team kept pushing and scored their second goal of the game in the 60th minute through Amankona.
Chelsea scored five minutes later through Dramani Awuah to extend their lead in the highly anticipated match.
The home team maintained their demolition mission, scoring their fourth goal of the game in the tie’s last minutes through Henry Ainsu.
Berekum Chelsea are presently fourth in the league standings with 46 points, while Accra Lions are eighth with 41 points after 30 games.
