Legon Cities held Great Olympics to a 1-1 draw at the Accra Sports Stadium in matchday 23 of the Ghana Premier League, leaving the Dade boys unable to return to winning ways.
Despite their recent poor form, Great Olympics took the lead through Nicolas Mensah’s own goal just 15 minutes into the game. The Royals proved to be a tough opposition, but the home team couldn’t convert their scoring opportunities.
Legon Cities restored parity through Meider Kwabena’s 60th-minute strike, and neither team could add to their tally for the rest of the match.
Great Olympics have won just one of their last five games and need to improve to secure their place in the top-flight. Bismark Kobi Mensah has yet to make a significant impact since taking over as coach from Yaw Preko.
Currently, Great Olympics are 14th on the league table with 28 points after 23 games, while Legon Cities are in the relegation zone in 16th place with 27 points.
