Matthew Amoah has revealed that he played a quiet but important role in André Ayew’s move to Dutch side NAC Breda.

According to the former Ghana international, he personally assured officials at the club about Ayew’s fitness level after closely following his training sessions at his father Abedi Pele’s club, Nania FC.

Amoah explained that Ayew regularly trained with experienced players, including Wakaso Mubarak and other teammates, which convinced him the Black Stars winger was in good shape.

He noted that the training videos he watched gave him enough confidence to recommend Ayew, stressing that the player was physically ready to return to competitive football.

Amoah’s behind-the-scenes involvement helped reassure NAC Breda as they considered the move, highlighting the strong support system within Ghana’s football fraternity that continues to open doors for local talents abroad.
