Nsoatreman Football Club’s head coach, Maxwell Konadu, expressed disappointment with his players for their failure to follow tactical instructions during the early stages of the second half in their recent match against Accra Hearts of Oak at home.
Despite taking the lead in the first half, Nsoatreman FC succumbed to a 2-1 defeat against Hearts, who mounted a successful comeback to claim their second consecutive victory in the Ghana Premier League.
Konadu lamented that Hearts of Oak deployed a 4-4-2 diamond formation in the second half, leaving them vulnerable on the wings. He instructed his players to exploit this weakness but observed that they did not respond effectively during the crucial opening minutes of the half.
“When Hearts came out in the second half, they switched to a 4-4-2 diamond formation, which meant they lacked width on the wings. We instructed our players to attack through the wings to exploit this vulnerability, but unfortunately, they did not execute the plan effectively in the first 10 minutes,” Konadu remarked.
Under the leadership of Aboubakar Ouattara, Hearts of Oak has yet to drop points, maintaining a flawless record since his appointment as head coach.
