Medeama Sporting Club head coach, Nebojsa Kapor, remains confident that his team’s performance will improve as the season progresses, despite being content with securing victories in the meantime.
Kapor made these comments during his post-match press conference following Medeama’s 1-0 win over Accra Lions in the 2024-2025 Ghana Premier League opener at the TNA Stadium in Tarkwa.
Kapor acknowledged that Accra Lions posed a tough challenge, as expected, and addressed concerns about his team’s performance on the day.
“You have to be patient and give them time. I’m very happy we didn’t perform perfectly. Last season, many of you (media) asked me about excellent performances, but the results didn’t come. Now, the results are coming, and we will fix our performance—I’m sure of that,” Kapor explained.
The decisive moment of the match came in the 56th minute when Bernardinho Tetteh scored the only goal of the game, converting a penalty for Medeama.
After a disappointing eighth-place finish last season in their title defense campaign, the Tarkwa-based club is under pressure to improve this season, with Kapor confident that results will continue to come as the team grows.
